As far as synthetics go we tested 7-Zip, the ram hungry Y-Cruncher, Cinebench R15 and ASUS Real Bench, where we had much more consistent results.
If by consistent we mean eerily similar across the board http://chessinchicago.org/10-gaming-products-that-will-make-you-better/. Which leads us then into the price and performance summary, in almost every case, the largest improvement in Performance over 2133 is achieved by 2666 Megahertz, then there's another modest improvement when you jump to 3200, and from there, marketing and purely synthetic benchmarks aside, things go downhill pretty quickly on both Intel, and AMD, leading us to conclude that there's no point going higher, even if you could. So then, buy Thirty two hundred Megahertz RAM, since that's the sweet spot, right? Well... Sure, but it actually depends too, what kind of a budget you're working with for your system If you've already got the best of everything, then sure, yeah. You might want to go higher on your RAM, to eke out that slim improvement? But if you're on any kind of fixed budget, well, for sixty four bucks the difference between 2133 and 3600 RAM. You could go from a core i5 7500 to a 7600K, netting you higher CPU clock speeds, and overclocking support, or from Ryzen 5 1500x to a 1600x, giving you two whole additional processing cores, AND that only accounts for the financial investment. What we haven't even talked about is the time that this can end up consuming. And going back again to look at the total possible improvement from a bare-bones JEDEC 2133 kit to the fastest we tested, the full conclusion becomes crystal clear. 4.7% for $64 more, without any guarantee that it'll actually work. Means that we wouldn't recommend it, unless you're out of stuff to spend money on that will give you more meaningful performance or usability improvements. And you have not only the time and know how to tinker with it. But also the patience to drop everything and deal with it when something isn't working. And this is especially true if you're using the latest and greatest platform with that fastest and shiniest RAM. Paul: So as a player, when you're broadcasting on a hand like that, are you putting yourself in that position and reading the hand as you go? Jason: Yeah, I mean, in that spot particularly, because we only can see one player's hand. You know, we can kind of sit in the spot of Byron and say, "What would we do with kings in this spot Oncasinogames?"
And I was talking through it. And I was like, you know, Jason is pretty solid. Like, he's capable of making moves. But would he make a move like this where he makes this big check raise and then shoves on the river for his whole life? It turns out the answer is yes. But I would have folded kings too. So, I mean, it's one of those spots where all I can kind of do is explain what I think I would to kind of be going through my mind in this spot. And great move by Jason Mercier. That bluff propelled him to make a final table run. And he is at our final six. Paul: Actually, now that you mentioned the final six, right, walk us through who's on this table and how you think it'll play out. Jason: Right. So we paid six players, 41 total entrants, Jason Koon, the unfortunate bubble boy at the end of the night. So we have Jason Mercier, Sam Greenwood, Fedor Holz, Connor Drinan, Ben Tollerene, and Fabian Quoss, six absolutely top-tier superstar players. I mean, all have an amazing record in tournament poker. We're gonna have an absolute brawl this Saturday for that final table. I can't wait for that. I mean, come on, first place is gonna win $1.4 million. And funnily enough, Fedor, who's in for three bullets, if he busts in the sixth is actually gonna lose money still in the tournament, because he's only guaranteed $280,000. Paul: That's pretty incredible actually. Now, when you look at the talent, who's got the chips? Jason: Well, first place right now is Ben Tollerene. Not a super well-known player if you watch live poker. But he is one of the all-time money earners for online poker, known as Ben86 on Pokerstars. You know, he has been an absolute crusher in no limit hold'em and in pot-limit Omaha for the last few years. So it's great to see him make a tournament debut here. You know, not debut, he doesn't play tournaments all that often. But his first, you know, major final table, I believe, and he has almost over a third of the chips in play [inaudible 00:04:12] here. So Fedor, the short stack, but everybody else kind of in the middle. So we're gonna see, you know, how they're gonna strategize around Ben with all of those chips. Paul: And just one more last question, I mean, when it comes to skill set like this and you've got six such good players, do the chips mean as much? Jason: Well, you know, it depends on kind of like, you know, where the players are seated. You know, I mean, Ben, with his absolute castle is the only player who's well ahead of the rest of the pack. So we're gonna have to kind of see how Fabian, Sam, Jason, and Connor are gonna kind of interact. Connor, the second place stack with about a million chips, he was our short stack for a long time in the bubble, ended up making a couple of big moves with aces and busted Jason Koon actually, also doubled through Fedor with aces. And so he ended up in second at this final table. It's gonna be awesome. Paul: Well thanks, Jason. I appreciate all the highlights that you give me every day and to all those who are watching. We appreciate your coverage. Jason: Hope to see you guys over at runitup.tv for more action here from the Aussie Millions. It's gonna be absolutely awesome. Paul: Aussie Millions 2016 100K event, day two, I'm with Jason Somerville, who's doing the live broadcast. Jason, we were just talking off-camera about a few of those moments from the highlights. Talk us through... Well, I mean, we started with Brian Rast, right? I did an interview with Brian yesterday, and he said that... Jason: Chip leader coming into the day yesterday. Paul: ...it was a hand, right? Jason: Yeah.
You know, it's amazing both of our chip leaders yesterday did not make it to the end of the day. There was a very critical hand early on between Brian Rast, Jason Mercier, and Fedor Holz. Fedor had a queen, 10 of spades. Brian had ace, jack of diamonds. And Jason had two black aces. They went through a flop of jack, eight, three or something, three spades. So Fedor flopped the flush. Jason has aces with an over pair with the nut flush draw. And Brian had top pair, top kicker. Jason was a shorter stack. Fedor was a very short stack. Brian ended up paying off all the bets. And so he doubled up Jason when Jason rivered a flush on the end. So Jason made the ace high flush on the river. So Fedor, [inaudible 00:00:58] and reentered, ended up making the final table later on that night. Brian Rast, never really got his stack back together after losing that pot. And that hand propelled Jason into having a shot at this 100K challenge. Paul: And you were saying there was a fair bit of action on the other tables as well, right? Jason: Yeah, I mean, all day long, it was kind of crazy. Another hand actually played by Jason Mercier, Jason raised with queen, seven of diamonds. And Byron Kaverman, the number one ranked player for last year by the Global Poker Index, he just called a two kings, flop came four, five, six. Jason bet. Byron just called. Turn was a five, putting out a flush draw. And Jason checked. Byron made a very small bet. And Jason made a huge check raise. Byron thought about it, called. River was ace of hearts, completing that backdoor flush. And Jason moves all in. And I think, you know, Byron in this spot is like "What happened here?" He just called pre-flop with his kings. He wasn't really sure where he was at. But, ultimately, he and I watching on the stream thought that Jason must have had a set or maybe had a straight or, you know, something that beat Byron's kings. And I think this is where the shot clock came into play, because Byron is a very deliberate player. But in that tournament, you had 30 seconds to act on your hand, with two limited time banks. So Byron used both of his chips to get that time, ultimately, folded. And Jason Mercier shows us on the camera queen, seven, for a stone nothing, absolutely amazing bluff by Jason. Paul: I've gotta ask you a question. So as a player now...because you kind of do both, right? Jason: I got a lot of hats. I need an Ace. I wanna kick the spread. I use and English accent whenever I use his voice. Looks like he's eating a treat off the table and walking away.
Well, there's a dog well taught by Kenny Rogers. You gotta know when to eat your treats and know when to fold them. Interesting note about Jim Jam, Lou, he was rescued from Thailand and brought to America. Lots of dogs in Thailand. Wow, that is interesting. Oh, now look at Jim Jam over there about to take a nap. Oh man, I tell you what, look at that cuddly bed there. I could use a quick 40 winks. Well, we still gotta do this, so let's continue on. Okay. I can't tell -- what is Dr. Bones doing right now? He's being frisky. Dr. Bones is a frisky dog. Dr. Bones is clearly in the lead. Yes, the good doctor with his trademark red bandana, seems to have control of this match so far. Red as the day is long, Lou. That doesn't make sense. Didn't know they could see color. Take a look at Roxy over there: She's got three medium size stacks of only red chips. That's right, Roxy is sitting at $750 or 15,000 bones, depending on the exchange rate. Would you take a look at that: Jim Jam is licking his cards. Gary that's a clear tell. You can see that he likes his cards and is therefore licking them. See if the other players can pick up on that. I do the same thing with women. He does. I'm on probation. Hey, did you notice Roxy's hair? Would you say that's an intimidation tactic? Yeah, the mohawk is there to intimidate your opponent, draw attention to it and away from the cards. Then again, it could be up to her owner as to how her hair is styled, and Roxy, clearly, is just living life second to second. That's what I say about me and my wife. I didn't get that. She cuts my hair and styles it and I have no say over it. Oh, and then it makes sense. Yeah. Oh, some frustration setting in. She has jumped up on the table and is knocking things over. Yeah, Roxy is clearly a bitch. I can say that because we don't know who her father is. That would be a bastard. And that's it for this week. What a thrilling hand that was Lou. They almost did something related to poker. Right, and even more amazingly, only one competitor left us a surprise over in the corner. Roxy, we just took you for a walk! Brand new carpet and everything. Anyway, live from the East Las Vegas Animal Shelter, it's the 2012 Canine World Series of Poker. We'll see you next time. No begging. Please. The value of these loses equivalent of, and I don't know there. Three people in America have lost more than eight million dollars of their families as machine. That'S a that's a bit even more so is, but the one who is a criminalist to he was that slot. She can seize the of the hot spots of dignity and with point blank check from the police, and I have detractors, and yet we love the that the grandmother from new Jersey who takes the pulse, the that in place of nickel slots for eight million bucks.
It isn't there who is not only thing I think he pleases thousand dollars points the two hundred thousand of them in a sea of fire under five thousand six, unbelievable, it's just that thousand. I thought the been out of five hundred thousand dollars at all. In one thing, as sort of like a lot of times, you can put in play to five thousand potential is twenty five, a five thousand dollar when she complained fight on she could lose twenty five thousand dollars so, but he fared better loses his all this family's Money by gambling of slots, but not only that you a book, called the book of virtues. What do educational hobbies offer your daughter? She’s into Barbies and mermaids and everything pink right now, and that’s great, but one of these days you’ll look at her and wonder if she’s thinking outside of herself enough. Educational hobbies, not just toys, spark the ingenuity she’s going to need to succeed in her generation. She will learn how to master a craft. Lindberg's Transparent Horse is a precisely detailed kit featuring a complete horse skeleton that is anatomically accurate with soft internal organs. An instruction manual helps horse lovers learn about equine anatomy. If she’s introduced to a hobby that includes science, and she learns to love it, she’s much more likely to get into a good college with some great opportunities that might finance her career. Her generation, now more than ever, is going to need strong, intelligent leadership in not only the female community, but in the world in general. We are in desperate need of people who know “how.” I think hobbies are a catalyst for that. While I think that argument stands alone, I will say that those moments spent together are so worthwhile. I truly love the times I get to spend with my kids working on something together. I work at online assignment writing service, my children often help me to write articles or give me some ideas. A hobby is something that you enjoy doing over time, that you add to or make, that interests you enough to stick with it and find out more. One thing I’ve noticed about hobbyists is that they learn how to be an expert at a thing. That’s important. So, that is it for today's article. Thank you so much for reading! I hope you liked it. Building a Balsa Bridge Deep inside every child (regardless of age) there lurks a design engineer. “Tim the Toolman” Taylor was always tinkering with things to make them perform better. We know what Tim’s results were; we saw them on television watching “Tool Time.” Educational Hobbies in the Classroom Teachers can release the creativity in their students through simple exercises in design. An example of this would be to have your students create bridges. Students would create a balsa bridge across a specified span … say twenty-four inches that would support the greatest amount of weight. Alternatively, students could use such things as plastic drinking straws, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, paper or other materials deemed appropriate in the ground rules for the project. Whether it is in the classroom, the family room or kitchen at home, this can be a fun and exciting project for the whole family. You can find many of the items needed for these projects at your local hobby shop, craft store or even at your favorite grocery store. This experiment in design has an International following. Students around the globe compete at sanctioned events to test their design and building skills. Who knows, maybe one of your kids might be the one who designs the next major bridge expanse such as the Gold Gate Bridge in San Francisco. So, that is it for today's article.
